Talk about an animated restaurant! I was driving through Nebraska and stopped in for dinner with my father. It just so happened to be during the Nebraska football game. The place was packed and full of energy. Our waiter was excellent and the food came out quickly considering it was so busy. Thanks Nebraska, for your lovely hospitality. :)

We made the trip from Greeley NE to Grand Island NE and did the whole call ahead thing to dine at the Texas Roadhouse. I'm so glad we did, too! A 2 hour wait would have ruined the experience. Although I didn't care for the noise and crowds...the wait staff were excellent, Johnny on the spot and friendly. My big complaint...the parking spots were wayyyyyy to small. Accicdents waiting to happen. My pickup barely fit! Glad to have such a successful place in Grand Island for all in the area. Thanks for coming to Nebraska, Texas Roadhouse....Welcome to CORNHUSKER COUNTRY!

Stopped in for dinner on Saturday Night after a long day on the road doing the Junk Jaunt. There was a 15-20 min wait for a table so we went to the bar to have a drink while we waited we decided to eat at the bar. The bar tender took care of our pager and we placed our order with her. We ordered the Country Fried Sirloin and the 6 oz Filet. We both enjoyed our meals very much. The only issues had were one, the Green Beans, they were good, just a bit to much garlic in them for our taste. Two, after we ordered and our food was about to come out we were told they were out of baked potatoes. We picked substitutions and this did not delay our meal at all which was a plus. We got to enjoy the show they put on every hour where all the wait staff line dance in the aisles. Overall it was a very good experience and we would recommend it.

In general ambience was great, bar atmosphere where the waitstaff stops everything and a line dance as a group every hour. Dinner was disappointing, though. My skewered shrimp was extremely salty which turns out to be their seasoning. I asked for another skewer withouth as much salt. This one just has very little seasoning, more palatable but nothing to get excited about.

it's one of the better chains out there, some are better than others. what stood out with this one was the management. they were out of rolls, bummer but not the end of the world. the manager came to me immediately and bought me an appetizer was sorry they were out of rolls, great, that's what good managers do. keep up the good customer service, just stop running out of rolls. rest of staff was friendly and attentive as well. food is above average especially compared to just about all other chains out ther.

We stopped by for date night, the service was top notch, the food was probably the best BBQ we have had in a loooong time. It was busy but the wait was not long. Definitely worth a stop!

Food is still amazing. Service is always great!! Birthdays however were a big bummer. They bring a saddle have everyone yell yeehaw and hand you the check. No dessert, no nada. Big let down for celebrating birthdays.

Came from out of town and didn't want to go to a franchise found at home. Sirloin and ribeye were perfection. Bread warm and fresh with a sweet spin on the whipped butter. Service was excellent.

We all ate down at the Texas Roadhouse in Grand Island Nebraska when we went to visit the Grand Daughter. She used to work there so suggested it. Very good food and fun atmosphere. Very loud in there though so made it hard to visit, About once an hour the wait staff has to get up and do a line dance for the costumers entertaining. Did I mention it was loud? They have the country tunes a blaring all the time. They star you off with Peanuts in the shell and rolls with butter. And of course your favorite adult beverage if you choose. We got there when it opened at 5pm so it was Happy hour, couple bucks off drinks special. Also it was Wednesday so it was cowboy steak night 8 once top with 2 sides and the topers were free on the steaks. Very tender steak cooked just right. $8.99 As I said before it is loud so not all the orders were as ordered so make sure they have it right before they leave the table. We have eaten at this chain before in St George Utah and Victorville Ca and the food is pretty consistent. Except I don't know if they have down sized the Sweet Potatoes and bakers at all but they were about 1/2 the size they were at the other stores. I think we would continue to visit their stores in places we find them. Good price for good food, Even though this one is about 100 decibels louder than the others. Did I mention it is Loud?

It's been a while since my wife and I ate here so hopefully it's gotten better but realistically I doubt it. I see the place always seems busy and the wait staff is always rushed. In that case, why oh why would you have your employees stop everything to go into this ridiculous line dance routine? Seriously it's extremely embarrassing for most of the customers (one look around the room confirmed this ). A couple of the staff were into it (bucking for promotion no doubt) but the rest were clearly not enjoying it. Tip for any restaurant owner; don't publicly embarrass your people by making them do idiotic stunts. Enough on that. As for the food it can be summed up by one word, SALTY. Very salty. Like the top came off the shaker salty. My wife and I had different entrees but they both tasted the same. We were both mildly ill after our visit. We won't be going back.
I visited Texas Roadhouse with about 8 family members one snowy evening after Christmas and the place was PACKED. The hostess was flexible with our reservation changes, but once we got inside, the service fell apart. It was a very busy evening so we had a bit of a wait until our table was ready for us. Our large group sat at the bar to wait, hoping to get a round of beers. There was nobody stationed at the bar - just a couple of staff heading in and out with orders for the tables. We tried to flag down a couple of different people who flat out refused to serve us. We sat there for roughly 15 minutes and nada, so we just ate the peanuts that were left out. Once we were seated, the server took our drink order, which took quite a while to get to us. My family is a bit rowdy, but the server acted flustered and irritated the whole time. The food itself was hit and miss. Of course the steak was wonderful, but the sides were mediocre at best. I ordered a side of chili and salad. The salad was bland and the chili was really mild. The steak fries I stole off my cousins' plates weren't great. Overall, Texas Roadhouse is a fun place to bring a group for some good steak. But I would avoid it when it's going to be crowded.

Prompt seating, very friendly and courteous staff. Excellent steaks cooked perfectly and delivered quickly. Best experience we had in the whole state of Nebraska.

In a town where workers find a way to ruin every restaurant, today we actually had a decent experience. We ate here for Mother's Day, and they must have had their top-notch people working. Luckily we arrived before they opened, because us and one other couple were seated without reservations and thats it. Our Cactus Blossom came out within two minutes, and even our food was delivered in a timely manner. Our meals weren't too far behind, as they were trying to crank people though and back out the door as they were beyond packed. Our food was good with decent flavors but nothing to write home to mother about. Our server was awesome even though they were busy, and all in all it was a decent meal.

Over priced cholesterol bucket. Too much of everything greasy. Have been to this restaurant on several occasions. Always the same outcome - "Oops, why did I do that?" Do not recommend unless you love grease!

I have been to many Texas roadhouse but this one last a great impression. Food..as good as can be expected. Buy want to comment on Jules the bar tender. It was a just Saturday night, but Jules remembered my name and treated me like I was the only person in the place. Top shelf service. I was lucky enough to see the manager and told him so. Good food, great service. Made a Saturday night alone worth it.

* The restaurant is very well staffed. Fast and clean.. Food delivery was fast and very good value for the meal but service during the meal takes away from the overall experience. The rib eye steaks were cooked perfect so kudos to the kitchen staff. When checkout time came. This time, even the lady manager / assistant passed us and gave us free deserts. And 1/2 prices on the drinks.... guess she liked us??? LOL we gave a $20 tip....

Service was slow and the restaurant was empty. The waitress at the next to ours was better. The manager came and addressed one issue but it is obvious our server was lost and needs to be retrained. Not an experience again in Grand Island.

Steak was good, service was good, bread was the best. Only disappointment was that we didn't get to see any line dancing while we were there. Steak had no fat, and was cooked perfectly. Sides were cooked very tastefully as well.

Busy evening, 1/19/14. Waited 20-30 minutes for a table. Waited 5-10 minutes for our server. We had most of our salads eaten when our drinks arrived. The waiter was very busy, always on the move, never had time to check on us. Manager asked how it was when we were done eating and waiting for the waiter to bring us the ticket. Told him they had an opportunity to learn. 3 out of 5 of us had empty drinks, and had never been offered or asked about refills. He blew me off. Hostess offered to bring us drinks as she overheard the conversation. Manager never even apologized, he just asked which table we were seated at. Customer service wasn't on his agenda, even though he asked how things were! Due to his lack of caring, we won't be referring anyone or going back to his setting. Oh well, a lot of other selections in the area, he doesn't own the only toadstool!!!

We were out for our anniversary looking forward to good food. I ordered my ribeye but it came out overcooked; a fact acknowledged by the young man who asked us to cut into the steaks before he left us. He did offer to get another one, but I was out with my wife to eat with her, not after her. It's not hard to get a steak done right, if you're paying attention. We both ordered sautéed mushrooms/onions, which we both thought had way too much salt-we couldn't even eat them. My sweet potato was dry and stringy. Finally, the server was very difficult to understand, as English was not her native language. She was very inattentive to us the entire time we were there. It is unfortunate that the worst of the many roadhouses I've visited happens to be where I live.
